Examples:
Paper - Any dry, clean paper or paper product. No face tissue, napkins, and paper towels.
Acceptable paper and paper products are:
Bare cardboard rolls
Computer paper
Flattened cardboard
Mail and envelopes
Newspaper and Magazines
Tissue boxes and food boxes (dispose of interior plastic)
Shredded paper (place into a paper bag)
Plastic - Empty bottles and jugs.
Milk jugs
Detergent bottles
Soda and water bottles
Shampoo and conditioner bottles
Metal - Empty beverage and food cans
Clean, aluminum foil
Glass
Empty glass bottles and jars

RECYCLE at low cost (each category needs to be separated from the other):

Grass & leaves
Wood, pallets, lumber, UNTREATED
Pruning's ( no oleander or palm leaves )

Concrete, no dirt or protruding re-bar, &
no larger than two feet in any direction
Concrete, oversize and/or re-bar
protruding more than 6 inches

TIRES

Tires cannot be disposed of in landfills, however they are collected at the landfills and transported to:

Scrap Tire Recycling / Golden By-Products
Commercial Tire Recycler
Pick-up available for larger quantities or drop off any amount

Landfill Drop-off rates for tires are as follows:

$3 each - passenger car/light truck
$7 each -Truck (standard sizes)
$85 each - Tractor tires with thin sidewall
$325 each - Loader tires
$645 each - Earthmover tires

Tires must have rims removed.
Tires with rims $5 additional charge
for each tire.

NOTE: It is unlawful to transport more than 9 tires without a waste tire hauler certificate. Highway Patrol can issue a citation for transporting tires over the limit without a waste tire hauler certificate. Contact (209) 381-1100 for specific compliance requirements.
